TaskShot Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 08, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to both the TaskShot mobile application (iOS & Android) and the TaskShot website at taskshot.live. It explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights. Please read it carefully.

2. Camera & Photo Access

📸 TaskShot's core function requires access to your device's camera. We only access the camera when you actively open the camera screen inside the app. We never access the camera in the background.

What we do with photos

Revoking camera access

You can revoke camera and photo library permissions at any time through your device's Settings → Privacy → Camera (iOS) or Settings → Apps → TaskShot → Permissions (Android). Note that revoking these permissions will prevent the core photo-to-calendar feature from working.

3. AI Photo Processing

TaskShot uses artificial intelligence to read and understand the content of photos you capture. When you take or upload a photo:

  1. The image is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our AI processing service.
  2. The AI model reads the text in the image and identifies event-related information (title, date, time, location).
  3. The extracted information is returned to your device and displayed for your review.
  4. The original image is deleted from processing servers immediately after the response is returned.

We do not use your photos or the content extracted from them to train or improve AI models without your explicit consent. Processing happens on secure cloud infrastructure located in the United States.

4. Google Sign-In & Google Calendar Integration

Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0)

TaskShot uses Google Sign-In for authentication. When you sign in with Google, we receive:

We use this information solely to create and manage your TaskShot account. We do not access any other Google account data beyond what is explicitly listed.

Google Calendar

When you grant TaskShot access to Google Calendar, we request only the permission needed to create new calendar events on your behalf. Specifically:

You can revoke TaskShot's access to your Google Calendar at any time via Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access.

TaskShot's use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Subscriptions & Payments
